Self-care is not selfish

When we don’t take care of ourselves, we become a liability – to ourselves and to those around us.

#Selfcare is not indulgence.

It’s how we sustain the energy, clarity and presence needed to live and to lead well.

Because #leadership starts with self.

Rest and self-care are the pillars of leading with health.
Taking even a moment to relax and regulate can help manage stress and support health.

What it is:

🌱 Tending to physical, mental and emotional needs – not fancies, but fundamentals

🌱 Resting when you notice you need it

🌱 Simple routines that help you show up as your best self

🌱 Saying no to what’s misaligned with your values

🌱 Spending time with people who fill your cup

What it’s not:

✖️ A nice-to-have

✖️ Fancy spas or treatments (though they can be a lovely treat)

✖️ Doing everything for self and nothing for others

✖️ Hedonism or egoism – even if, depending on your relationship with yourself, it might feel that way at first

❓So, where do you stand?

Is self-care something you can’t quite justify – or a foundation for living and leading well?

..
